Research Forum on North America

The Research Forum on North America promoted thinking and research by tracking developments on the trilateral relationship between Canada, Mexico and the United States as well as in bilateral relations between these countries. FOCAL was unique in maintaining a particular focus on the Canada-Mexico relationship, the least studied of North America's three bilateral relations. FOCAL’s work on the Canada-U.S. relationship focused on the potential for co-operation in the Americas.

FOCAL and COMEXI mounted a concerted effort to identify key issues and find ways to bring positive change to the Canada-Mexico relationship.
